Stafford joins Lions captains

I hope everyone had a good break. I know I did. Even though I had to work from Wednesday through Sunday, I still got to hang out with relatives and friends, and had a good time all around. And the Dawgs beat Tech so that was just icing on the cake.

According to Lions head coach Jim Schwartz, Matthew is now a captain of the team. He has gone out for the coin flip with the other team captains the last two games. Coach Schwartz believes that the starting quarterback should also be a team captain, but waited until later in the season to promote Matthew since he is a rookie and had to earn the promotion.

Also, Matthew won the Week 11 Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week honors. Congratulations Matthew!

By the way, Matthew was on the sidelines at the Georgia-Georgia Tech game cheering on the Dawgs and sporting his Detroit Tigers hat. He needs to attend more Georgia games. He seems to be a good luck charm for the Dawgs.
