Tuesday update

Ok, lets get this out of the way first. Matthew has not been arrested. I know there are several reports out there saying a Matthew Stafford was arrested, but that was another person. So before anyone gets carried away with this story let's end it before it begins.

Matthew has finally updated his NameDrop blog.

Linehan: 'He did it the right way'

Scott Linehan, the Lions' offensive coordinator talked to FanHouse.com's Dan Graziano about Matthew's rookie season. He mades some interesting comments such as, "We felt pretty confident we picked a guy we could lean on for years and years to come," and "as he[Stafford] goes, the Lions will go." I think that shows just the kind of expectations and confidence that the Lions have in Matthew.

According to Jennie Averbook, a member of the AXE marketing team, AXE Hair Tab will have a Hair Action Challenge with Matthew at Super Bowl XLIV. It will start on Wednesday, Feb 3rd at the AXE Lounge.

Hanging out in California

Not much to report since the season is over, but there is a tidbit. Matthew was in California on Friday, so we'll probably see some promotional stuff from one of his corporate sponsors soon.

Impromptu twitterazzi (Did I just make a word up?) Brandon Howard ran across Matthew on Rodeo Drive yesterday.

Stafford, Lions rookies a bright spot

The year is only six days old and Gary in Goshen, Ind., has probably already won the Stupid Question of the Year Award. His question: "Is it time for the Lions to look for another quarterback after Matthew Stafford's first season?"

'It was a good rookie year'

The 2009 season has only just ended, and I'm already ready for next season. I think Matthew is going to make a huge improvement his second season. He told the media on Monday that he thought that he had a good rookie year. I agree. There were very few highlights, but I think the experience and knowledge that he acquired this past year will help him a lot next season.
