Former UGA WR Mike Moore excited to join Stafford in Detroit

Former Georgia WR Mike Moore posted on his Twitter account that he has signed with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent. He will be reuniting with Matthew, so their familiarity should make things interesting. Here's an interview that he did with Ryan Steck of Detroit Lions Talk. He will also be doing an on-air interview with Ryan on Wednesday.

In addition to DT Ndamukong Suh and RB Jahvid Best, the Lions also drafted CB Amari Spievey, T Jason Fox, DE Willie Young and WR Tim Toone.

Matthew Stafford throws to Jimmy Kimmel's sidekick during training camp

Guillermo, of Jimmy Kimmel Live, went through the Lions' training camp with hilarious results.

Lions bring in more help for Stafford

The first round of the 2010 NFL Draft is in the books, and the Detroit Lions drafted former Nebraska DT Ndamukong Suh and California RB Jahvid Best. This means another fast weapon on the offensive side of the ball to help keep pressure off of Matthew, and hopefully Suh is as good as advertised and provides some help on defense so the offense won't have to play from behind every week.

Unlike with Stafford, no consensus pick for the Lions this year...yet

Just a short update since I haven't been able to for a few days. Work and med school applications have taken over every minute of my life.

With the draft coming up shortly, I think we will be seeing a lot of looking back to last year's draft, and Matthew will surely be a topic of conversation. I'll try to take some time off to update the blog should anything interesting arise.

Researching a No. 1 pick

Sorry for the lack of updates lately, but except for a few Twitter posts stating that Matthew did an interview in Dallas this weekend, there has been nothing to report. Plus, I've been applying to medical school, and that has been taxing to say the least. Wish me luck in getting accepted.

Boston.com - Research is top priority for teams picking No. 1

The preseason schedule has been announced. I think it's safe to say that we'll only see Matthew take a few snaps during the preseason. At least I hope so.
