Matthew Stafford signed jersey being auctioned off for a good cause

Recently, Matthew autographed a couple of jerseys for a young fan, Reilly Parent. Reilly is a 10 year old boy that was born with a congenital defect of the bones and needs a wheelchair to move around. His parents are auctioning off one of the jerseys in order to raise funds to purchase a wheelchair van that will greatly increase his mobility. Visit Give Reilly a Lift or his Facebook page to learn more about the auction.

Here's Reilly sporting his Stafford signed jersey, and the jersey that is being auctioned off.

Lions bring in help for Stafford

The Detroit Lions have signed another offensive weapon for Matthew, former Seattle Seahawks WR Nate Burleson. The Lions also added DE Kyle Vanden Bosch and DT Corey Williams to the defense, which will hopefully improve enough to keep the offense from playing from behind virtually every week. Hopefully that translates into Matthew not leading the league in pass attempts two years in a row.

Matthew Stafford's AXE Hair Action Challenge Behind the Scenes video

Here's a behind the scenes video of Matthew at the AXE Hair Action Challenge video shoot. It's hilarious! Getting poked in the eye... twice, a model choking on his hair, messing up his lines, and dressing as a pirate. I can't wait to see that commercial.

If you have Dish Network, you can now go to Channel 99, and take the Hair Action Challenge there. Channel 99 is basically Matthew's AXE Hair commercials in a loop 24-hours a day. I'm not completely sure yet, but I think you can also find it on DirecTV's Channel 116.

Matthew also attended the Hooters Bash during Super Bowl week. Here he is along side Giants QB Eli Manning, former NFL head coach Jon Gruden and the Hooters girls of course.

Matthew Stafford's AXE Hair Action Challenge - Round 2

Round Two of the AXE Hair Action Challenge is here. This one is about who can get Hair Action in the most exotic position. If you can do better than Matthew's yoga-style Hair Action, you'll have a chance to win some major prizes from AXE Hair.

Matthew has updated his NameDrop blog. He recounts his whirlwind trip to South Florida during Super Bowl week. And he also talks about his surprise encounter with supermodel Marisa Miller and attending the NBA All-Star game at Cowboys Stadium.

ProFootballWeekly.com - Schwartz on Stafford: "We have no issues with his accuracy."

Matthew was a clue on Jeopardy! tonight. The clue was "Matthew Stafford, the 2009 No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick, attended this school." I think we all know the answer: What is the University of Georgia?

Check out this auction for a card autographed by Matthew. It's a doozy. I in no way sponsor this auction. I just wanted to share it because I thinks it's hilarious that whoever posted it is actually charging for shipping considering the asking price. LOL

Stafford hopes to be cleared for full participation by March 15

Hey guys! Sorry for the lack of updates lately, but surgery has sidelined me for a few days. I'm still in recovery mode. I can't even pick up my laptop. I had my sister place it on my bed so I could check my e-mail and the blog. Anyway, I'm going to try to update the blog as much as is health-wise possible, but don't expect much since it's the off-season, and workouts don't start until March.

A shoutout to Ty of The Lions In Winter. Thanks for the mention in your blog.
