After reading this article from The Sacramento Bee, I realized something interesting. That if all four quarterbacks that were drafted in the first three rounds this year start during the season, that Matthew will still be the youngest starting QB in the NFL. He is younger than all of the QBs drafted this year except for two and even then, he is older than those two by only one month. Also, by the time some of his fellow QBs from the 2006 recruiting class step on an NFL field, Matthew will be a three year veteran by then.

Matthew Stafford to take part in celebrity softball game
Detroit Lions WR Derrick Williams will hold a celebrity softball game on Saturday, June 12 at 3:30 p.m. The game will feature Matthew and several other Lions players. Proceeds from the game will help provide lunches and food to various schools in the Detroit area.

Matthew Stafford visits school to talk about healthy living
Matthew has partnered with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan to combat childhood obesity. He visited a local elementary school to talk about healthy living and kicked off ACES Day by leading HOPSports exercise. He also lead kids on a fitness walk around school and participated in a pull up contest.
